"Irene Schilling was a wonderful woman who will not be forgotten. Though I only knew her for the last 4 years of her life, I still got a good sense of who she was. When I was in a bad state, she asked (even on what would become her deathbed) how I was, and gave me such love that would seem impossible from any other in her condition.
I loved Irene as a surrogate mother, and though deeply saddened I was by her death, I feel pleased that her suffering is now at an end.
Irene will always be in our hearts, and in our minds, which is why I have put up this video. Though in great pain and discomfort, she still managed to laugh. I believe, this is how she would wish to be remembered."
